River Trail Apartments

I absolutely love our community here. It has 4 separate gate's for entry and exit, two swimming pools and hot tubs. Full 24/7 Access to a private and work out area .It’s very quaint and quiet here. We have fun activities where we get together and decorate Our patios ,balconies and front doors to build community togetherness as well the management office has a lot of fun activities that we can do. We have food trucks that come plus a lot more than I could say. The amenities are amazing. The apartments are quite spectacular with water sprinklers inside vaulted ceilings, Exquisite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The grounds are kept up Immaculately every day of the week Monday through Friday , We have our own maintenance team on site who are very knowledgeable, as well as valet trash. Which is very nice, but most the leasing office is very compassionate ,caring and Friendly. The management staff makes River Trail Apts a fun place to call a management office. It’s The best apartment homes that I have lived in in my eight years here in Washington and it is pet friendly. The community is amazing and what sets The atmosphere in the community is the people that work in the leasing office I really appreciate the management team here it is absolutely amazing place to call home.

Nice staff! Quick response to maintenance issues! I do wish that certain residents ( you know who you are) ….would pick up after their pets! It’s so gross and unsanitary! 🥴 Certainly not fair to the other residents and those who are responsible pet owners! And really, there is no excuse not to pick up after your pet…The management provides waste bags and receptacles throughout the property….

River trail is a disappointing place to live. Their management does not respond back to you in timely fashion. I had to call three times to speak with management. They charge you hidden fees such as trash pick up (half the time they don't even pick it up) and electrical for common spaces even if you do not use these spaces. Maintenance always took short cuts and I found my washer and dryer needing multiple repairs as a result. They will charge you arm and leg for move out despite your efforts to clean. I recommend you move into the neighboring apartments as I have heard they are much more accommodating.

Lived here for a few years. First of all, they often have giveaways where they incentivize leaving good reviews. So be wary of all the five star reviews - many of them aren't real. River Trail has pretty apartment interiors, and of course the area is beautiful with all the trees and natural beauty. However, this beauty doesn't extend to many issues with the apartments. The fire alarms are the #1 issue. If one is triggered in an apartment, the entire buildings alarms go off and you have to evacuate outside. This happened so. many. times. The alarms are LOUD, and if you have animals, they will be terrified by the ear piercing alarms that happen so often it is ridiculous. Also, at one point living there an alarm didn't stop for almost a WEEK and it was right below our apartment. Called them and they said there was nothing they could do. I had to literally find a place to stay during that time because I was unable to sleep & it was making me INSANE. So yes - if you live here, prepare to deal with the awful alarms a LOT. Gate is bad and frequently doesn't work. I didn't have a Puyallup area code phone number, so they apparently couldn't program it so that delivery people could ring my phone and I could let them in. Very frustrating. No matter how clean your keep your apartment, you will have ants. And the building is so badly insulated you will hear your neighbors in every direction (and they'll hear you!). The prices since we've rented here have skyrocketed, and they are completely not worthy of the high rents. Find somewhere else to rent & save yourself the frustration.

We got lucky with a newer renovated apartment and it looks great and is pretty spacious. The only issue is the fire alarm system is the worst. If you set off one fire alarm, the whole building goes off and you have to wait for the fire department to get there and shut it off which takes them about 10-30 minutes since it's not an emergency. There's been about 10 fire alarms go off in the complex within the last few months we have been here. Idk what dummy thought it would be a good idea to put a fire alarm directly above the oven. If you leave the oven open for too long, the fire alarm will set off. The hot tub is not operational but the pool is. they just fixed the gate on the west side. The gym is pretty nice. One thing I wish they would do is power wash the concrete by the apartments. They just had some workers power wash the buildings but all the cobwebs and dirt went onto the concrete by our door and is dirty now. Another thing that would make this place even better is if they added one or two lights in the dog park area. It's pitch black in there at night time. Other than that, this place is great and office staff are always friendly.
